This project, in partnership with the USDA Safety and Quality Investment in Livestock (SQIL) initiative, aimed to strengthen productivity in Georgia’s dairy and beef sectors by improving animal nutrition. It provided farmers in Shida Kartli, Kvemo Kartli and Kakheti with our precision FeedMeter technology to monitor livestock feed quality in real time.
Key activities
- Introduced FeedMeter technology for real-time nutrient analysis.
- Delivered in-house feed rationing services.
- Ran targeted workshops for local veterinarians and farmers on best practice.
- Facilitated knowledge sharing between international experts and local stakeholders.
Outcomes
The project improved livestock nutrition and raised productivity for farmers across the target regions. FeedMeter technology is now fully integrated into the Kalo platform, giving farmers continued access to it after the project closed.
